Severe osteoarthritis of the ankle

Deformity and severe degenerative changes are seen at the ankle, accompanied by distal fibular bowing and malposition. The posterior part of the talus is fragmented.
A small plantar calcaneal spur is also evident.

Ankle osteoarthritis is uncommon in the general population and is usually due to activity and trauma.
