Presentation

History of trauma. Foof deformity.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Deformity and severe degenerative changes are seen at the ankle, accompanied by distal fibular bowing and malposition. The posterior part of the talus is fragmented.

A small plantar calcaneal spur is also evident.

Case Discussion

Ankle deformity and advanced degenerative changes in a patient with a history of trauma. 

Ankle osteoarthritis is uncommon in the general population and is usually due to activity and trauma.
