Severe wrist rheumatoid arthritis

Presentation

Acute on chronic wrist pain. No history of trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Complete destruction and subluxation of the first carpometacarpal joint. Erosive subluxation of the metacarpophalangeal joints with ulnar deviation. Loss of the distal radioulnar joint space with dorsal subluxation. Severe radiocarpal erosive arthropathy. Large erosion of the ulnar aspect of the 5th CMC joint. Appearances are in keeping with severe rheumatoid arthritis. Erosive OA of the 2nd-4th PIP joints.
