Presentation

Eccentric glenohumeral arthritis with rotator cuff deficiency.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Rx right shoulder

Post-operative control after a short-stem reverse prosthesis implant.

The humeral and glenoid components are well positioned.

Drainage is present.

Corrected the position and angle of the glenosphere metal back in order to avoid scapular notching.

Case Discussion

In the reverse prosthesis with a medial center of rotation, the lever arm of the deltoid muscle increases.

The new short-stem deisgn allows to have more bone stock at the proximal and distal level, facilitating any future revisions.
