Presentation
Hard swelling of the left cheek region
Patient Data

Decreased volume and heterogeneous enhancement of the left parotid gland. The left parotid duct is dilated (7 mm) with a large distal intraductal stone (18 x 11 mm) obstructing the ductal lumen. This is well-visualised at the level of the 2nd left upper molar with inflammatory changes in the adjacent fatty tissue.
The right parotid gland is of normal appearance.
Mucosal thickening of the maxillary sinuses and left ethmoid cells (chronic sinusitis)
Case Discussion
CT features of a chronic sialadenitis secondary to an obstructive distal intraductal stone (sialolithiasis)
