Abdominal pain and chronic constipation.
Patient Data
Increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is present at the sigmoid and lower portion of descending colon measuring about 8 cm in length. Pericolic fat stranding and several regional lymphadenopathies with SAD less than 10 mm are also observed.
A 6 mm cyst is present in segment VIII of the liver.
A 47 x 40 mm thin walled non enhancing cyst is present in the right adnexa.
Degenerative changes with osteophytosis of the lumbar spine.
Grade I spondylolisthesis of L3 on L4 is present.
Case Discussion
Colon mass; pathology proven adenocarcinoma with regional lymphadenopathies.
No local invasion, no detectable metastasis.
Colorectal cancers can be found anywhere from the cecum to the rectum. Rectosigmoid involvement includes about 55% of cases as the most common site of colorectal cancer. CT is the modality most used for staging colorectal carcinoma.
