Sigmoid diverticulitis - uncomplicated

Focally inflamed diverticulum at the junction of the distal descending and proximal sigmoid colon, with small rounded fecalith surrounded by the thickened diverticular wall. There is associated segmental thickening of the colon and pericolonic stranding. Trace ascites. No extraluminal air or fluid collections.
