There is a linear opaque foreign body (length = 16 mm), perforating the sigmoid wall which appears thickened with severe perisigmoid fat stranding, extraluminal gas, and thickening of the adjacent peritoneal reflections.
Malrotated right kidney.
Case Discussion
CT features a foreign body perforating the sigmoid colon with signs of focal peritonitis. The patient confirms that she had ingested accidentally a food bone a few days ago.
