Presentation

Young male hit on the head with a spade.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

A large fracture with depressed fragments insinuating the brain parenchyma, fracture traverses the right parietal bone, extends through left parietal vault extending up-to the left mastoid. The fracture line mimics the shape of the weapon used, in this case a spade.

Intraparenchymal, subarachnoid, subdural and intraventricular hemorrhage is evident.
