Silicosis with progressive massive fibrosis

Bilateral nodules and conglomerate masses with calcifications and air bronchograms in the midzone and periphery of the upper lungs, which extend towards the hila, associated with overinflated emphysematous spaces. Cavitation is seen in both upper lobes. There is extensive mediastinal and hilar lymph node calcification.
Case Discussion
The combined findings together with the patient's occupational history of working with sandblasting are typical for complicated silicosis and progessive massive fibrosis.
