Presentation

Motorcycle accident two years ago. Recently describes back pain.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Chronic single anterior-column fracture of the L5 vertebral body, manifested by compression of the superior end-plate with anterior wedging. Intact posterior cortex. No thecal sac compression. Intact posterior neural elements. Mild anterolisthesis of L4 on L5 with positive vacuum sign at L4/5. Multiple age-related anterior osteophytes with aortic calcified plaques.
