Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

The patient is follow-up operated case of head injury with left subdural hematoma.

Left frontotemporoparietal craniectomy with marked concavity of the overlying skin flap.

Compression of left frontotemporoparietal lobes with buckling of gray–white matter, compression of left lateral ventricle, and midline shift of ~4 mm towards the right side.

Hypodense areas in left parietotemporal lobes and posterior limb of left internal capsule, likely gliotic areas, sequelae of prior insult.

Case Discussion

The above findings suggest the likelihood of sinking skin flap syndrome / paradoxical brain herniation.
