Soft tissue scalp mass with associated flow voids in vascular structures and connection with the dural venous sinuses.

Case Discussion

The scalp mass is clearly demonstrated on the MRI. It is a soft tissue mass that contains vessels that demonstrate flow void on T2 weighted sequences and enhance following contrast.

Features here are of sinus pericranii, an extra-cranial venous malformation that results from abnormal transosseous venous connections.
