Presentation

Scalp swelling in frontal region.

Patient Data

Age: 1 year
Gender: Male

Approx. 4.0 (AP) x 1.5 (SI) x 3.8 (TR) cm sized hyperintense signal soft tissue (scalp) lesion is seen on the T2W images in the frontal region at midline and right paramedian location. It turns hypointense signal on T1W images. The lesion shows internal intensely hypointense signal linear vascular flow voids on the T2W images. After administration of contrast the lesion shows enhancement. The lesion is seen immediately adjacent to outer table of skull vault.

Multiple venous channels seen in the lesion on the MR venography images. Small linear intracranial vessel is seen extending into the soft tissue lesion through the calvarium near superior sagittal sinus.
