X-ray of an infant shows a right sided cardiac apex (dextrocardia), fundic bubble and splenic flexure of colon.
This is a mirror image of situs solitus ie. same findings on the left side
Case Discussion
Dextrocardia with situs inversus
Jumping to a conclusion is a bad idea. This is what one must do next
- Check the marker 1st.
- Check with the technician if the film was flipped while filming
- Call the patient and confirm on sonography
