Skin lesions breast

Case contributed by Garth Kruger

Presentation

Routine mammogram image of the right breast (enlarged)

Patient Data

Gender: Female

The patient has two large warts on the skin and several small ones

Case Discussion

The key to picking up cutaneous lesions and avoiding unnecessary callback is the lesion is outlined and well defined by a thin radiolucent air halo. This case is nice because the warts are quite large and you can actually see the air in the fronds of the warts.

Your technologist worksheet will of course also mark skin lesions.
