Presentation

Patient referred with previous diagnosis of infiltrating carcinoma in the right breast, after a superolateral quadrant segmentectomy procedure.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
mammography

Breasts with a sparse fibroglandular appearance, showing perimamillar skin thickening on the right, a metallic marker at the resection site by segmentectomy and a significant retraction of the overlying skin.

Case Discussion

Exam classified as BI-RADS 6. Patient was referred for a new surgical approach due to the involvement of the margins of the previous resection according to an anatomopathological report.
