Fall. Painful wrist and hand.

Patient Data

Age: 89
Gender: Male

Probable undisplaced fracture through the radial styloid, extending into the radiocarpal joint.

Deformity involving the scaphoid likely relates to old trauma.

Widening of the scapho-lunate joint space, with proximal migration of the capitate compatible with SLAC wrist.

Case Discussion

Appearances of the carpus (SLAC wrist) are chronic. The distal radius fracture is acute.
