Slipped capital femoral epiphysis

- Postero-medial displacement of the right femoral epiphysis and widened physis as well as femoral metaphyseal patchy edema signal (metaphyseal blanch sign).
- Mild right hip joint effusion.
- No evidence of right femoral head avascular necrosis (AVN) or degenerative changes of the hip joint.
- Normal left hip.
- Normal both sacroiliac joints.
- Mild atrophy of the right hip periarticular musculature.
- No bony or soft tissue mass lesion.
Case Discussion
Right slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) with mild joint effusion (synovitis) and mild atrophy of the right hip peri-articular musculature. No femoral head AVN.
