Slow flow venous malformation

Presentation

RIGHT distal leg swelling - 1 - 2 yrs. No trauma.

Patient Data

Age: about 30 yrs
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

Multiple vascular channels are seen at site of swelling with background of echogenic soft tissue.

Few echogenic foci are noted in the lesion  - phleboliths.

Poor flow signals are noted at rest.

Flow signals are seen with distal compression.

Lesion involves soleus muscle.

Blood supply is from adjacent posterior tibial vessels.

Appxo size - 50 x 30 x 30 mm.
