Small bowel and mesenteric lymphoma

Case contributed by A.Prof Frank Gaillard

Presentation

Generally feeling crap. Abdominal pains.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

AXR demonstrates a general paucity of bowel gas on the left side, but is otherwise mostly unremarkable, other than evidence of previous spinal surgery.

Multiple loops of small bowel on the left side are markedly thickened with dilated lumens. In addition large soft tissue masses expand the mesentery and encase the mesenteric vessels.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates typical features of small bowel and mesenteric lymphoma.
