2 cm part calcified soft tissue mass in the small bowel mesentery.
Para-aortic lymphadenopathy measuring up to 3.1 cm.
Cholecystectomy.
The solid organs are normal.
Case Discussion
This patient has a long history of metastatic small bowel carcinoid with static imaging appearance over several scans.
The part calcified mesenteric mass is classical, although there is often more of a desmoplastic reaction than illustrated in this case.
An indium-111 octreotide scan is the diagnostic imaging test of choice at first diagnosis.
