The CT scan demonstrates:
- a lobulated enhancing soft tissue mass containing foci of calcification within the small bowel mesentery in the upper mid-pelvic region, measuring (70 x 68 x 28 mm) with a “spoke-like” appearance of mesenteric vessels and mild distortion of the adjacent small bowel loops
- hepatic nodules in the left lobe and segment 4
- heterogeneously enhancing right adrenal mass
The lungs are clear (not shown).
Case Discussion
CT features are suggestive of small bowel carcinoid tumor with hepatic and adrenal metastases.
