Macroscopic:
- polypoid mucosal lesion
- intact surface mucosa
- composed of variably sized, dilated, blood filled spaces (blood washed out in section)
- blue color in section represents marking ink
Microscopic:
- dilated spaces lined by endothelium
- no atypia
- intact surface small bowel mucosa
Case Discussion
This is a common benign lesion in an unusual site.
