Presentation

Small bowel lesion seen at laparoscopy.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
pathology

Macroscopic:

  • polypoid mucosal lesion
  • intact surface mucosa
  • composed of variably sized, dilated, blood filled spaces (blood washed out in section)
  • blue color in section represents marking ink

Microscopic:

  • dilated spaces lined by endothelium
  • no atypia
  • intact surface small bowel mucosa
