acute abdomen

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
ct

Plain study showed moderate ascites, pneumoperitoneum and pneumobilia.

Contrast study shows contrast leakage into the peritoneal cavity, probably from the duodenum (2nd part).

Note: If technologist performing the CT would have understood on plain study, he shouldn't have proceeded with oral contrast in view of perforation.

Patient was operated and finding was confirmed post-operatively.
