Short history of upper abdominal discomfort.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Slither of free gas beneath the right hemidiaphragm.

Heart size normal.  Lungs clear.

Case Discussion

Always check beneath the diaphragm as a review area on a plain chest radiograph.

This is a pretty small one and could easily be overlooked.
