Well-circumscribed oval-shaped nuchal mass of right paramedian location within the subcutaneous fatty tissue. It shows two components, fatty component of high signal on both T1 and T2, attenuated on fat sat sequences and soft tissue component of low signal on T1, intermediate signal on T2, high signal on STIR with vivid enhancement on postcontrast sequences with no restricted diffusion. No invasion of the adjacent structures.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a well-circumscribed nuchal mass with two components, fatty component attenuated on fat sat sequences and hypervascularised soft tissue component, most consistent with a haemangiolipoma (pathologically proven).
