In the radial portion of the hand, there is a heterogeneous soft tissue mass which contains numerous small spherical calcifications characteristic of phleboliths. The bones appear normal.
Case Discussion
Features on x-rays most likely represent hemangioma which is a common, benign soft-tissue tumor. They can arise from skeletal muscle, skin, subcutaneous tissue and synovial tissue. Calcification is common.
