Soft tissue lipoma - posterior cervical space

Presentation

Palpable painless right cervical mass.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Well-encapsulated right cervical mass, located in the posterior cervical space measuring 85 x 70 x 60 mm. It displays a homogeneous high signal on both T1 and T2, attenuated on STIR sequences with no thickened septae within. It displaces the levator scapulae and scalenus muscles medially, the sternocleidomastoid muscle anteromedially and trapezius muscle posterolaterally.
