Axial T1

Large, highly lobulated, vividly enhancing mass centered on the tentorium has large tortuous vessels over the surface and traversing the tumor. It effaces the 4th ventricle and aqueduct, resulting in obstructive hydrocephalus.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have a craniotomy and resection of this highly vascular mass. Histology confirmed the diagnosis of a solitary fibrous tumor.
Note: at the time of diagnosis this tumor was known as a hemangiopericytoma. Under the 5th Edition (2021) of the WHO classification of CNS tumors, it is now considered a solitary fibrous tumor of the dura.
