  • Speckled high T2 signal foci in the medial cuts of the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus.

The speckled appearance of the anterior horn of lateral meniscus is due to insertion of ACL fibers into the medial aspect of the anterior horn lateral meniscus. This is a normal variant, which could be mistaken as degeneration or a tear.
