Sphenoid wing meningioma


Right proptosis.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

An extra-axial right sphenoid wing soft tissue mass lesion with intense homogeneous enhancement after intravenous gadolinium contrast administration. Significant dural tail enhancement is evident harboring areas of signal void pattern suggesting calcified component. The lesion is associated with marked hyperostosis of the right sphenoid bone with significant right proptosis.

A lipoma posterior to the midbrain is a concomitant finding that suppressed in fat suppression sequences.
