The MRI sequences demonstrate a fusiform intradural extramedullary CSF intensity cystic lesion of anterior location from T11 to L2 level, compressing and displacing the lower spinal cord posteriorly.
No associated medullary or vertebral anomalies.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a spinal arachnoid cyst ventral to the spinal cord.
Most primary intradural spinal arachnoid cysts are located dorsal to the cord with 80% in the thoracic region followed by the cervical region 15%, and lumbar region 5%.
