A well-circumscribed bilobulated cystic lesion (4 x 2.2 x 1.2 cm) of epidural location is noted at L1-L2 level, lateralized to the left with widening of the neural foramina and scalloping of the adjacent vertebral bodies. It is of CSF signal on all sequences with no enhancement following IV contrast. There a mass effect on the thecal sac which is displaced to the right.
Case Discussion
MRI appearances of a spinal arachnoid cyst of epidural location widening the neural foramina with vertebral scalloping and mass effect on the thecal sac.
