Intramedullary cluster of vessels at the C7-D1 level where the nidus is situated with associated multiple, dilated, tortuous feeding structures without significant mass effect. The cord itself shows an area of abnormal signal intensity being bright on T2 from C7 to D2 levels.
Case Discussion
The tortuous coiled structures are believed to be feeding arteries and draining veins that display signal voids due to high velocity inside. There is associated cord ischemia from steal phenonmenon evident by the bright signal on the cord.
