Presentation
Sensory deficit and pain in left leg.
Patient Data
At the L1 vertebral body level, there is a well circumscribed anterior intradural and extramedullary nodular lesion hypointense on T1 and T2 sequences which generates compression and displacement of the nerves roots to the left and posterior.
Post-surgical control.
Fluid collections are visualized at the surgical site in the local soft tissues.
Case Discussion
Spinal meningiomas behave like intracranial meningiomas, showing isointense signal in T1 and T2. Occasionally, they calcify a in this case, showing hypointense signal on all sequences.
It´s useful sometimes to undertake CT in order to look for calcification.
