ct

Fusiform aneurysmal dilatation of terminal segment of splenic artery before it branches in the splenic hilum.

Other ancillary findings in this case include arterially enhancing focal liver lesions in a cirrhotic liver with splenomegaly, right pleural effusion and small bowel venous congestion. The portovenous images (not included) demonstrated washout in the hepatic lesions in keeping with heptaocellular carcinoma.

Case Discussion

Visceral artery aneurysms are common, and especially in the setting of chronic liver disease, one should be extra cautious to not misconstrue them as portosystemic dilated collateral channels.
