Well defined lesion with marked echogenic surface and no sound through transmission in keeping with calcification.
Case Discussion
The differential for splenic calcifications includes:
- splenic hemangioma
- splenic infarcts
- cysts
- hydatid: common
- congenital, epidermoid and dermoid cysts: rarely calcify
- splenic hematoma (e.g. post traumatic)
