A well-defined rather ovoid unilocular cystic lesion is seen in relation to the mid and lower zone of the spleen. It has a thin smooth wall. It measures 7.6 x 6.2 cm in its maximum of two dimensions. It appears low signal on T1 and high on T2 with no apparent wall thickening, mural nodules or internal septae.
Case Discussion
In view of the clinical data and MRI findings, the possibility of post-traumatic splenic cyst must be considered.
