Case contributed by Dr Muneesh Sharma

Presentation

Vague upper abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Female
Modality: CT

Lobulated splenic lesion with rim calcification and internal round calcifications.

Case Discussion

Epidermoid cysts of the spleen are rare comprising <10% of benign, nonparasitic splenic cysts.

The patients usually have vague, non-specific symptoms possibly related to the size of the mass

This was an incidental finding found on contrast enhanced  CT virtual colonoscopy performed for abdominal pain.
