Incidental lesion detection on ultrasound

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
MRI

Well defined T2 hyperintense lesion in the lower pole of spleen. It shows no diffusion restriction. Dynamic post contrast study shows early arterial enhancement of periphery of the lesion with centripetal filling up of contrast, homogenizing in equilibrium phase. 

Case Discussion

The second most common benign lesions of the spleen following simple cysts is the haemangioma. Typical CT morphological features are seen in this case.
