Splenic hydatid cyst

A large thick walled cystic lesion in the spleen, contains internal septations and coarse calcified foci. No enhancing soft tissue component is observed within the cyst.
Case Discussion
Features on the CT scan are the most likely consistent with hydatid cyst. Splenic hydatid disease has been reported to constitute up to 4% of cases of abdominal hydatid disease.
