Splenic injury - AAST grade V

Axial C+ portal venous phase
Upper 1/3 of spleen relatively preserved. Remainder is irregular and unenhancing with active extravasation of contrast into the left paracolic gutter. Hemoperitoneum. No other injuries.
Case Discussion
Severe, complex injury of the spleen with active extravasation into the left paracolic gutter. Patient went on to have an urgent splenectomy due to the severity of injury.
