The spleen appears heterogenous in echo pattern with innumerable hyperechoic micronodules and enlarged in size measuring about 17.7 x 7 cm suggesting sideroblastic nodules .
Case Discussion
Splenic siderotic nodules, also known as Gamma-Gandy bodies (GGBs) .
GGBs are few millimetre granuloma like nodules composed of haemosiderin, calcium and fibrous tissue with crystal structure of CaPo4.FeoH.
