Case Discussion

Abdominal splenosis refers to multiple ectopic splenic tissues. It is usually occurs after previous trauma with splenic injury or splenectomy. Their greatest importance being the need to distinguish them from other abdominal nodular pathologies as abdominal lympnadenopathy like in this case (mesenteric lymph nodes), peritoneal metastasis and endometriosis. So, proper history taking in such cases is important.
