Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

The lower part of the rectus abdominis muscles are enlarged with high attenuation (values) within.

Case Discussion

The enlargement of the rectus abdominis muscles with high attenuation on non-contrast images, especially in a patient on anticoagulant therapy, is highly likely to represent rectus sheath hematomas.
