Sprengel deformity

Sprengel deformity, possibly impaired cervical range of motion.

Patient Data

Age: 4 months
Gender: Male

Abnormal position of left clavicle, which is pointed upwards and has a bony prominence extending towards the cervical spine. Elevated left scapula.

No vertebral fusions noted.

Case Discussion

The abnormally elevated scapula is in keeping with a Sprengel deformity. In this case, the ipsilateral clavicle is also abnormally formed and positioned.
