Presentation

The patient came to the health fitness evaluation. There is no clinical complaining, just scoliosis, and deformity in the right shoulder.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Mild dorsal scoliosis.

Right ribs congenital disorders, spinal bifida in the first, second, and third thoracic vertebra. 

Congenital disorders in the right 1st to 4th ribs.

Sprengel deformity grade IV.

Case Discussion

Vertebrae and ribs abnormalities are commonly seen in the Sprengel deformity.

kyphoscoliosis and torticollis may seen also.

The aim of surgery for those patients who have moderate to severe disability is to improve cosmetic and functional disability, generally, the ideal age is between 3 and 8 years.
