Sprengel shoulder with omovertebra

Presentation

Superior displacement of the right shoulder.

Patient Data

Age: 2 years
Gender: Female

Chest

Elevation of the right scapula compared to the opposite side, indicating Sprengel shoulder.

Omovertebral bone extending from the right side of the posterior elements of C6-C7 down to the superomedial border of the right scapula. Widening of its medial aspect measuring around 2 cm with heterogeneous bone marrow signal.

Soft tissue asymmetry of the shoulder and lower neck muscles is noted.

Narrowing of C5-C6 and C7-T1 disc spaces.

Mild spinal deformities are also seen with cervico-dorsal scoliosis with its convexity to the left side.

The spinal cord appears normal.

Multiple enlarged deep cervical lymph nodes are seen measuring less than 2 cm, with moderate adenoidal and tonsillar enlargement.

Prominent thymus.

Bibasilar atelectasis.

N.B.

The right kidney is not visualized in the obtained images of the upper abdomen.
